On-Device Encryption
The ear tag never broadcasts openly. It encrypts all sensor data directly on the animal before transmitting a single signal. Anyone trying to intercept your farm network will only see scrambled code. Your herd's health data remains entirely private from the very first second.
Secure Data Relay
The base station receives the data but cannot read it. It acts as a secure relay, forwarding everything untouched to our servers via an encrypted cellular connection. Any local data the station generates itself, like ambient temperature, is also fully encrypted before upload.
Encrypted Mobile Access
Your farm and health data stays protected on your smartphone. The app communicates with our servers exclusively through strict encryption protocols. This protects your operation from uauthorized access.
Custom Access Control

Secure, Automatic Updates
HerdTek gets better over time. We continuously deploy over-the-air updates to your base stations, app, and even the ear tags themselves. You get instant access to new features and performance enhancements without lifting a finger.
Cryptographic Signatures
Every firmware release is cryptographically signed before deployment. Your hardware verifies this signature on-chip before executing an update, completely blocking unauthorized or modified code.
Automatic Rollback Protection
If a power outage or signal drop interrupts an update, your devices won't get stuck or corrupted. The system automatically reverts to the last stable firmware version so your farm stays online.

We use herd metrics to continuously improve HerdTek's AI models. All data used for training is completely anonymized, stripping away every identifier linked to your operation.
You control how long your data remains in our systems. If you request account deletion, we permanently purge your farm profile and all collected data without leaving a trace.
